Captain America cookies

For some reason superhero themed cookies are some of my most favorite to decorate. Maybe its the pop of the bright colors? I haven't quite figured it out. I had wanted to make some patriotic themed cookies for 4th of July but ran out of time, so I decided to make these when the Captain America movie came out.

I've been really bad lately about only taking pictures with my phone. I'm not pleased with how any pictures turn out on my camera though! These were fun to make. I love how the stars turned out!

monkey baby shower!

Oh this was the funnest!  We were having a baby shower for my sister-in-law, who was having the first baby boy to carry on the Swore name, and the first baby boy in almost seven years (with five girls in between).  They did his room in brown and green, and they love monkeys and she really liked the tie-dyed onesies that I had done before, so I combined them for the theme.  These monkeys ended up being one of my favorites!  This was also my first attempt at cupcakes...they were chocolate with peanut butter buttercream frosting.  Uh-maz-ing!

Making tie-dyed cookies is one of my all time favorites.  I love how each one turns out a bit different.  These were made for a baby shower for a boy, the mom is a bit hippish so they asked for something that would fit her style.  These were so fun and cute!
